AcupunctureAcupuncture is based on the principle that there are energetic pathways, or channels, throughout the body that influence associated internal organs and structures. Energy from these pathways surfaces at various points on the body, identified as acupuncture points. Each of these acupuncture points serves as a tunnel, or access route, to the deeper circulatory channels within. Extremely fine gauge needles are inserted at selected points, stimulating these points and thereby activating the body's natural healing abilities. Acupuncture is a safe, natural, effective and enjoyable way to treat a variety of conditions and promote well-being:
All treatment begins with a thorough history and examination, which takes place during your first visit . We spend time getting a complete picture of your health and lifestyle, in an effort to treat your whole person not just the symptoms of your condition. Typically acupuncture treatments are given once a week. If the condition is acute and painful, treatments may be given 2-3 times per week until the conditions starts to come under control. The exact duration of treatment depends on the condition, your basic level of health, and how well you respond to treatment. |
