(TCM) Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist
TCM Acupuncture is a ancient form of healing based on a complex diagnostic system including: energetic Qi (chee) channels which effect different organ systems and muscles groups in fact, the whole body. Yin and Yang theory, in which imbalance of yin and yang can lead to pathology and adjusting the amount of each can lead to health. 8 principles theory which incorporates external pathogens such as wind, cold, and heat with internal pathogens such as excess emotions like worry and ridding the body of these pathogens leads to health. Five phase theory is also a part of TCM. Five phase is also called five element. This complex system can be used to treat and diagnose with both acupuncture and herbal medicine. Acupuncture is a very complex treatment. It is very important to have a well educated acupuncturist. There are many levels of education to be a acupuncturist in the state of Illinois. Make sure you do your homework before choosing one.
Acupuncture Process
The physical process involves putting very fine, pre-sterilized, disposable needles in different points of your body. Patients rarely feel the needle going in and rarely feel the needle once it has been placed. The patient will then rest for 20-30 minuets with the needles still inserted. They are then removed. It is a very relaxing process and most patients feel like they have had a nice nap afterward. Some patients do fall asleep. Acupuncture is extremely safe when preformed by a professional acupuncturist. An occasional small bruise is the most alarming thing that usually happens. Acupuncture is a full service therapy and can treat most diseases. The most important thing about TCM and Acupuncture is that is can be used as preventive medicine to ward off disease and maintain health and longevity.
The outstanding distinction this protocol has is the side effect
of improved health. |
