Wake up every day with makeup that is permanently and professionally applied! Gain confidence knowing that the color and design of your makeup has been selected by an expert to enhance your features. Permanent makeup is intended to look as natural as possible so no one will ever know you've had it done. Permanent cosmetics are cry proof, swim proof and sweat proof so you don't have to re-apply during your busy day!
Reasons to get permanent makeup:
- To save time getting ready by not having to draw on your eyebrows, eyeliner or lips evenly every morning
- Cannot wear conventional cosmetics due to allergies and skin sensitivities
- Have sparse eyebrows and eyelashes due to heredity, alopecia, chemotherapy treatments, accidents or burns
- The convenience of makeup that won’t smudge, smear or sweat off due to an active lifestyle
- Seeking camouflage of scars from burns, cosmetic surgery, cleft lips or injuries
- Have difficulty applying makeup because of poor eyesight, arthritis or unsteady hands due to Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis or stroke
- Seeking repigmentation of areolas after reconstructive surgery
What is Permanent Cosmetics/Makeup?
Permanent cosmetics, also referred to as cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation, is the process of implanting deposits of colored pigment into the dermis layer of the skin. Using small, sterile needles, pigment is strategically placed into the skin with the use of various machines, including the traditional tattoo/coil machine, pen/rotary machine, digital machine or a hand tool.
Is the procedure painful?
Discomfort will vary from person to person, but pain is significantly minimized by the use of very effective topical anesthetics, which help to numb the area. Most people find the procedure far more comfortable than anticipated!
What is the process?
The process includes an initial consultation, followed by the application of the pigment, and at least one or more follow-up visits for adjusting the shape and color of the pigment. The initial procedure will generally take approximately 1½ to 2½ hours, depending on which procedure is being performed. Touch-up procedures usually do not require quite as much time, but will also vary. Follow-up visits are scheduled anywhere between four to six weeks (and no longer than 60 days) after the initial procedure.
What should I expect after the procedure?
Following the procedure, there is generally minimal swelling and/or redness, which usually only lasts between 2 and 72 hours. Ointment should be applied to the treated area for the first 3 to 7 days. The color will appear much darker than you may expect for the first several days, and will typically fade between 30%-60% throughout the healing process before reaching its final color. Normal activities may be resumed immediately with some minor precautions.
How long does it last (Is it permanent)?
Technically, permanent cosmetic procedures are considered permanent because the color is implanted into the skin and cannot be washed off. However, fading will occur, requiring periodic maintenance. Permanent makeup will usually look “fresh” for three to ten years, depending on the procedure performed as well as a variety of factors that can influence longevity. These factors include ultra-violet exposure from sun or tanning booths, certain medications, the age of the skin, smoking, chemical peels, as well as exfoliating and lightening ingredients in skin care products.

Breasthetics (Areola Repigmentation)
Once your physician has completed the reconstruction surgery after mastectomy, the final procedure is the Breasthetics application of nipple/areola repigmentation. This simple treatment completes the aesthetic recovery for women by making surgically reconstructed breast mounds look once again like your own natural breasts, including realistic nipple and areola color. Breasthetics is a non-surgical and usually painless procedure that requires no additional downtime.
